MADISON (WLUK)– The state department of health on Sunday is reporting just 453 new cases of COVID-19 after 4,814 test results were completed. Sunday’s 453 cases is the lowest reported number of cases in a day since Monday, August 3, reported only 404 positive test results. The 453 positive results is down from Saturday, where the DHS reported 950 new cases. The seven-day average of positive coronavirus cases in Wisconsin dropped from 707 on Saturday to 674 on Sunday.
The state reported no new cases in non-residents Sunday.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln identified a small cluster of COVID-19 cases at the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority on Sunday.
After an editorial in a student newspaper last week pleaded with leaders at Notre Dame to not “make us write obituaries,” the university said it agreed with the students’ concern about the spread of Covid-19 in the community.
