NC COVID-19 Update: Cases jump by nearly 900 in 24 hours

As of Saturday, May 16, 2020, North Carolina health officials say there have been a total of 17,982 lab-confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the state, that’s up 853 within the past 24 hours, and 652 virus-related deaths. State health officials say there are 9,115 cases of presumed recoveries in the state. The state said these estimates are unrelated to the number of cases that are or are not still infectious.
